A Carousel for Missoula A Carousel for Missoula was one of the first fully hand-carved carousels to be built in the United State since the Great Depression. This Carousel features two chariots and 38 horses and is located in Caras Park. Being surrounded by roll-up doors that are used in chilly weather, the Carousel is open daily, year-round. Smokejumper Visitor Center Missoula The Smokejumper Visitor Center is one of the largest active smokejumper bases in the nation. Visitors can learn about the challenging and exciting occupation of smokejumping. Exhibits include a replica of a 1930s lookout tower and a tour of the smokejumper loft.
